Safety Climate and the Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic: An Investigation on Safety Perceptions among Farmers in Italy

The diffusion of the COVID-19 pandemic has generated numerous interventions aimed at reducing contagion by means specific prevention measures, also characterized stricter occupational health and safety (OHS) procedures workplace. To better understand how this novel working context impacted on farmers’ behavior attitude, a climate assessment was carried out Nordic Safety Climate Questionnaire (NOSACQ-50), which augmented to include items related modifications conditions due COVID-19. This allowed us analyze changes in perceptions, pointing worker-manager discrepancies attitude. Additionally, questionnaire contributed analyzing effects OHS measures from workers’ standpoint.
